How to Use Canon Mx450 Scanner to Upload to Computer

You can forrard the scanned information to the computer using the operation console of the auto.

Before forwarding scanned data to the computer, confirm the following:

• ScanGear (scanner driver) is installed.

  If ScanGear (scanner driver) is not all the same installed, insert the Setup CD-ROM into the computer's disc drive, so install ScanGear (scanner driver).

• The machine is connected to a computer correctly.

  Brand sure that the motorcar is connected to the estimator correctly.

  Do not plug in or unplug the USB cable while the machine is in functioning, or when the computer is in the sleep or standby mode.

  If you perform scanning via a network connection, make sure that all the required settings take been specified.

  Network Scan Settings

• The destination and the file proper name are specified in Canon IJ Scan Utility.

  Y'all can specify the destination and the file proper name in Canon IJ Scan Utility. For details on settings of Canon IJ Scan Utility:

  Settings Dialog

  1. Make sure that the auto is turned on.

     Confirming that the Power Is On

  2. Press the Browse push.

     If you forward the scanned data to a USB-connected or LAN connected computer for the first fourth dimension, the Browse card screen is displayed. Go to step three.

     

     If you accept forwarded the scanned information to a figurer, the Browse standby screen is displayed.

     If you change the destination or scan settings, press the Menu button, so get to step three.

     If you forward the data to the USB-continued figurer, select Local (USB).

     If you forwards the information to the LAN-continued computer, select a name of the computer to frontward the scanned data.

     Note

     • If you select Search once again, the machine starts searching for the connected computers again.

     • When you frontward the scanned data to the calculator using WSD (one of the network protocols supported in Windows seven and Windows Vista), select Active for WSD scan from dev. on WSD setting on Other settings in LAN settings nether Device settings.

  6. Make sure that Document type is selected, then press the OK button.

  7. Utilise the button to select the certificate type, then press the OK button.

     Note

     • When yous forward the scanned data to the reckoner searched using WSD, y'all cannot select the document blazon.

     • The * (asterisk) on the LCD indicates the electric current setting.

     Auto scan

     This item is available but when the machine is continued to the figurer using a USB cable.

     The machine detects the blazon of the originals automatically and the image is forwarded in the optimized size, resolution and data format.

     Of import

     • You can select Auto browse merely when you frontward the scanned information to the USB-connected computer.

     • Load originals properly according to their type; otherwise, some originals may not exist scanned properly.

       Loading Originals

     • The following items can exist scanned:

       Photos, postcards, visiting cards, magazines, newspapers, documents, BD/DVD/CDs

     • The following items cannot exist scanned properly.

       • A4 sized photos

       • Documents smaller than v inches ten vii inches (127 mm ten 178 mm) such as a paperback with its backbone cut off

       • Originals on thin white paper

       • Long and narrow originals such every bit panoramic photographs

     • When you scan originals from the ADF, it may take longer to browse the first page.

     Document

     Scans the original on the platen glass or in the ADF applying the optimized settings for scanning a document.

     Photo

  8. Specify the scan settings.

     Specify each scan setting in order.

     1. Make sure that Browse size is selected, then press the OK push button.

     2. Use the button to select the scan size, and then printing the OK button.

  10. Press the Color button for color scanning, or the Black button for black & white scanning.

      Note

      • When you forward the scanned data to the estimator using WSD, press the Color button.

      • If the original is not loaded properly, a bulletin is displayed on the LCD. Load the original on the platen glass or in the ADF according to the browse settings.

      • If you load the original in the ADF:

        The machine starts scanning and scanned data is forwarded to the computer.

      • If you load the original on the platen glass:

        • When yous select JPEG or TIFF for Data format, the auto starts scanning and scanned data is forwarded to the computer.

        • When you select PDF or Meaty PDF for Data format, the confirmation screen asking you if you continue scanning is displayed after scanning is consummate.

          Selecting Yes and pressing the OK button allow you to browse the originals continuously. Load the next certificate on the platen drinking glass and kickoff scanning.

          By selecting No and pressing the OK button, scanning is consummate and the information is forwarded to the computer in one PDF file.

      Scanned data is forwarded to the reckoner according to the settings specified in Canon IJ Scan Utility.

      Remove the original on the platen drinking glass or from the document output slot after scanning is complete.

      Important

      • If the scanning effect with Auto scan is not satisfactory, select Document or Photo according to the original in step 7, then specify the browse size or other setting items in step eight.
